Emotional and relational peace, joy, and power can feel impossible and elusive sometimes. But, often it takes one small first step to shift your life towards greater health. I love working with people ready to invite themselves to take that small step and see where it leads. If you've been struggling with anxiety, depression, self-doubt, relationship problems, upsetting personal experiences, or life transitions/losses, I hope you'll take the small step.
.

I work in a very collaborative manner to understand, consider, and help you shift towards a greater sense of personal power, self-trust, and hopefulness. Together, we will leverage YOUR awareness of who you are and who you wish to be, along with the knowledge I've developed through training and 20 years of experience as a psychologist.
Together, we will create the space where you can feel supported, develop valuable emotional skills, and begin to discover what's possible in your life. It can feel daunting to find the right therapist, but as soon as you're ready to take that "one small step" toward greater health, I hope you'll call. Be well.
- iPEC Foundation Principle
I specialize in working with adults wanting to address emotional, mental, and health-related challenges in order to develop more resilient, effective, and healthy lives. Specifically, I work with adult clients to help them manage anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship and family conflict, grief and loss, and chronic or unexpected health crises.
I use a collaborative, strengths-based approach to help clients better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the context of their relationships with others and their life experiences. Whether you have short term goals or longer term issues, in the process of our work together, we will seek to expand the necessary skills to cope with the challenges life presents, and enhance the health of mind, body, and relationships.

It can be hard to decide to come in for therapy and harder still to select a therapist. And, common sense and research tell us that “fit really matters,” so finding someone with whom you feel comfortable sharing and exploring difficult and private issues is important. It’s also important that you find someone who is competent to help with the particular issues you are trying to address. For these reasons, I’m glad to offer a complimentary 10-15 minute phone call to allow for an initial exploration of the fit between what you are seeking and what I can offer.
If, based on our phone call it appears that it makes sense to set up an appointment, we will use the first 1-3 sessions to further explore your concerns. You will have a chance to bring me up to speed on important background information, describe current concerns, and establish clarity about how you hope to make use of therapy. I will identify and share how I believe I might be helpful, if I think I can, or I will be glad to offer you recommendations and/or referrals if I don’t think I am the right therapist to meet your needs.
